Stephanie Vermillion is a travel journalist and photographer covering stories at the intersection of culture and adventure--the tales of the people, movements, and history behind our beloved great outdoors. She is personally and professionally obsessed with stargazing and aurora hunting and has written about astrotourism for major travel outlets including National Geographic Travel, Outside, Conde Nast Travel, Travel & Leisure, and Lonely Planet. When she's not writing, researching, or happily jetsetting, you can find her hiking or kayaking through her home parks in Cleveland, hitting up local craft breweries, or road-tripping throughout the gorgeous Great Lakes region with her husband, Frank, and their rescue pup, Harry.
