The emotional impacts of divorce on adults can be far-reaching, frequently leading to issues such as depression, significant stress, and anxiety. The psychological impact can be exacerbated by feelings of loss, confusion, and ambiguity about the future, which can cause challenges in self-isolation, financial stability, and identity. Additionally, there will be collateral damage, whether it be an identity crisis due to routine and life role changes, a shift in social circles and severed relationships, disheartened children, family members and friends, and the list goes on. Here is the great news Friend, with the help of God, support groups, confidants, and therapy (if needed), the challenges are not unconquerable! Please walk with me through the pages of this book as we take a transparent journey through my highs and lows, mistakes and successes, triaging, healing, and growing through divorce.
Brad D. Nelson, PhD is from Hillsboro, Ohio and is an active-duty Air Force officer assigned to Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Dr. Nelson is active in his church and community, a mentor and big brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, a board member of the community-based nonprofit organization Arm & Arm Inc. in Arlington, Virginia, and a 2023 Marquis Who's Who in America biographical listee, and also a November 2023 Marquis Who's Who in America Top Military featured listee. He is a member of the National Contract Management Association, and he is certified in several professional disciplines.
