Everything in Mona's well-manicured life is changing, and she hates it.
All at once, her daughter is off to college, her husband accepts his dream job in another state, and most devastating of all, her mother, Melanie, must move into a memory care facility as she battles Alzheimer's.
While staying in her childhood home to be close to her mother, Mona begins to receive mysterious phone calls in the middle of the night. Convinced she's talking to her mom, Mona can't reconcile the stories of Melanie's youth with the woman she thinks she's known her whole life. Suddenly, the house full of memories looks different; an alluring life story hiding within the walls and trinkets of time gone by.
As Melanie's Alzheimer's disease worsens, Mona collects stories and unanswered questions, clinging to the clues of the past of a woman she never truly got to know. Can she fit the pieces of her mother's life into one picture before their time together runs out?
