Liam Hayes lives between worlds, half in Danoss where the smog covers the sun and stars, and half in the dreams he's cursed to walk through every night. Most dreams leave him shaken, hollowed out by the weight of other people's fears.
Then Sophia appears, her dreamworld is nothing like the others. It's a version of Danoss washed clean - stars visible through the smoggy haze, music drifting through the air and a piano always waiting for her hands. With her, the dream world becomes a place Liam almost believes in. But the deeper he's pulled into her mind the more he senses something beneath the beauty - something she isn't saying, something she might not even know, and the closer they grow, the more Liam realizes that some dreams aren't escapes at all.
