Dr. Sadie Jennings of Charleston, S.C. is a brilliant cardiovascular surgeon with a touch of PTSD. Hunky small-town cop, Officer John Avery of the Meadow Oaks Police Department, has been crushing on Sadie since the day he met her. The tragic death of a Meadow Oaks resident in Charleston leads to him spending time at Sadie's hospital and her being in Meadow Oaks with her girlfriends more often. As he finds himself falling in love with her, he's worried small-town life won't interest her for long.
Sadie and John are determined to overcome any obstacle in their pursuit of a happily ever after. Little do they know, when Sadie repeatedly saves a serial killer's intended victim, he turns his sights on Sadie.
