by A. G. Barnett (Author)
A classic British village whodunit in which a live television murder turns out to be exactly that, and two mismatched detectives find the prime suspect uncomfortably close to home. Police-duo banter, theatrical suspects and a proper fair-play puzzle.
The Show Must Go On. The Victim Disagrees.
The glitz and glamour of showbiz descend on Bexford with the launch of the new TV series Foul Murder. But when a murder is committed live on stage, life quickly imitates art.
Fortunately, Detective Sergeant Guy Poole and Detective Inspector Sam Brock are in the audience, and they take control of the chaotic scene at once. As the investigation deepens, it becomes clear that one of their own is the prime suspect. Despite his irritating demeanour, they're determined to prove his innocence.
But proving a colleague innocent means finding out who really turned Foul Murder into the genuine article.
A Staged Death is the second book in the Brock & Poole Mystery series, for readers who love classic village crime, odd-couple detective duos and fair-play whodunits. Perfect for fans of M.C. Beaton, Faith Martin and T.E. Kinsey.
