When it comes to family wealth, there is a curse active throughout the world: the first generation (G1) makes it, the second generation (G2) enjoys it, and the third generation (G3) destroys it. Rags to riches and back again in three generations.
But it doesn't have to be this way. A Succession Blueprint is the companion guide to Four Voices: Managing love, loyalty, family wealth and succession through the generations, which tells the story of love, loyalty and wealth - and how they can happily co-exist and endure through the generations once we understand the family business theorem.
Four Voices shared the journey from ungoverned to governed via the Jacksons - a fictional family whose stories helped illustrate the unique and complex challenges of family enterprise that so often lead to conflict, dysfunction and angst.
In this companion guide, we revisit the Jacksons - focusing on the conversation between co-founders John and Ayesha Jackson and their trusted advisor during a series of meetings, where they are desperate to better understand the challenges they face and find a proven solution.
