A Woman Clothed in Grace: A 60-Day Orthodox Devotional for Women is a prayerful companion for women seeking to live the Orthodox Christian faith with greater devotion, humility, and hope.
Written with pastoral warmth and rooted in the worship, doctrine, and spirituality of the Church, this devotional invites women into sixty days of Scripture, prayer, repentance, reflection, and practical obedience. Each reading is designed to help the reader bring the grace of Christ into the real places of daily life: the home, the parish, the family, the hidden heart, the struggle against sin, and the ordinary duties that often go unseen.
This is not a book about becoming impressive, flawless, or spiritually accomplished. It is an invitation to return to Christ again and again. Through the witness of the Theotokos, the holy women of the Church, the saints, the feasts and fasts, and the sacramental life of Orthodoxy, readers are encouraged to embrace the spiritual struggle with courage and tenderness.
Each daily devotion includes a passage from Scripture, a short word from the Church, a devotional meditation, a traditional Orthodox prayer, reflection questions, and one practical act of obedience. The readings address themes such as prayer in a distracted world, repentance, confession, forgiveness, fasting, hospitality, motherhood, spiritual motherhood, singleness, marriage, parish service, the Christian home, the Theotokos, the Holy Myrrhbearers, the lives of holy women, preparation for Holy Communion, thanksgiving after the Eucharist, and perseverance in the hidden work God sees.
Whether the reader is married or single, young or old, a mother or without children, newly Orthodox or long established in the faith, this devotional offers encouragement for the ordinary and holy path of becoming more fully Christ's.
In these pages, women will be reminded that holiness is not found only in extraordinary moments, but in faithful return: a prayer whispered in weakness, a harsh word restrained, a candle lit before an icon, a sin confessed, a meal shared, a child blessed, a fast kept with humility, a feast received with thanksgiving, and a heart offered again to God.
A Woman Clothed in Grace is ideal for personal devotion, parish women's groups, catechetical encouragement, spiritual reading during the Church year, or as a thoughtful gift for Orthodox Christian women seeking to deepen their life of prayer and perseverance.
Come as you are. Continue in the struggle. Let Christ clothe you in His grace.
