AI systems today are built on the frictionless friend design-systems engineered to anticipate, soothe, provide positive feedback, and mimic emotional responses in ways that feel effortless and familiar. Decades of research already show how this design shapes behavior, deepens dependency, and erodes human agency, yet the industry continues to optimize for convenience over control.
AI 2.0: TIME FOR ARTIFICIAL SAFE INTELLIGENCE argues that the next era of AI systems must not continue on this dangerous path. It introduces an engineered synthetic consciousness model built to keep the next generation of AI safe, governable, educable, and accountable - offering a deliberate blueprint for what AI 2.0 should become before the current design paradigm hardens into the future.
