SenLinYu creció en el noroeste del Pacífico y estudió Artes liberales y cultura clásicas. Comenzó a escribir en la aplicación de Notas de su teléfono móvil en los ratos que tenía mientras su bebé se echaba la siesta. Sus obras publicadas online han conseguido más de veinte millones de descargas y ya han sido traducidas a veintitrés idiomas. Actualmente vive en Portland con su familia. Alchemised es su primera novela.
