First published in 1865, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland relates the events that take place after young Alice follows a white rabbit down a rabbit hole to Wonderland. In the sequel, Through the Looking-Glass, published in 1871, Alice steps through an ordinary looking-glass to find herself in a world where, if you wish to get anywhere, you must walk in the opposite direction!
Author Biography
Lewis Carroll, born Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, was an English writer, mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon and photographer. His most famous writings are Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. He is noted for his facility at word play, logic, and fantasy, and there are societies in many parts of the world (including the United Kingdom, Japan, the United States, and New Zealand) dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of his works and the investigation of his life.
