We were six weeks away from our destination and four weeks into our journey to the cosmos. We had all participated in identifying what pieces of ourselves and our past we wanted to bring with us, but we never considered boredom. The older crew members had experienced bouts of boredom in their lives, but Jeff and Kim's daughter Alesha and her husband were too young, and their lives were too expanding to have anything close to the boredom they were feeling at the moment.
