Technology does more than make the business better. By eliminating many obstacles, It enables more of the population to be employed in the industry. And provides well-paying jobs to college graduates - and also to those that follow educational paths, especially in STEM.
Consider the robotic revolution that is underway. Robots perform repetitive and dangerous tasks that might have required human workers to have extraordinary physical strength.
No longer! For example, when the job becomes programming a robot rather than personally lifting heavy objects all day, the job opens up to many more people. Physical endurance is no longer a job requirement!
As populations diversify around the globe, employers are eager to tap into workers that possess language, culture, and life experiences that relate to the customer base. But let's make all kids aware that it exists - it's never too early to start! Introduce kids to the world of Smart Manufacturing, where people of all kinds are the most important part of the process!
