How does your gut turn the food you eat into the nutrients your body needs? Why do we have one stomach, but giraffes have four? And why do we burp?
Expert pediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Liz Bannister, takes young readers inside the body to explain in a very accessible format, the function and importance of the gut. This educational introduction is crucial for learning the composition and function of our digestive systems; the importance of nutrition in our day-to-day lives; and how to keep our guts in good health.
All About The Gut also informs and demystifies many misconceptions about the gut: what are butterflies in my tummy? Is it normal to go to the toilet three times a day? Why are brave people called "gutsy"?
Like all of the books in Berbay's All About the Body series, All About The Gut is a fun, accessible, and informative celebration of the incredible systems we have in our very own bodies, written by expert doctors.
