When Nancy Nystrom lost her son Freddy in 1994, she had an experience that changed her life, her direction, and in 1995, led her to establish Casa Hogar Los Angelitos in Manzanillo, Mexico, a home for children suffering from abandonment, abuse, and desperate situations. Nancy is listed in 2024's Who's Who for Women and has received other awards and special acknowledgments throughout her life. Because of her ongoing work with children, she is a popular guest speaker for various civic organizations and churches.
