"Amazing Science: Think Like a Scientist" was created to help children learn to think logically by using the scientific method. Children naturally engage in scientific thinking; this book simply provides the language and framework to help them recognize and develop these inherent skills. It offers a simple, effective way to explore questions and learn from real results. Through these structured steps, students practice observation, critical thinking, and problem-solving without requiring fancy supplies or complicated lab setups.
The book incorporates the powerful learning principle of repetition. The process of seeing, hearing, and saying a concept or word aloud is a fundamental teaching tool that not only encourages mastery of new skills but also provides a sense of security and confidence through its predictability and consistency.
The combination of bright, colorful images with interactive repeating text and activities creates an engaging learning experience that captures and holds children's attention. This thoughtful design increases children's confidence and cultivates a genuine desire to learn. Together, you and your child will enjoy a fun, rewarding learning experience that builds both skills and curiosity.
This book is a natural reflection of how children are already thinking like scientists in their daily life. In an engaging way, the book shows the natural progression of being observant, asking questions, gathering information, forming a best guess and then testing to come to a logical conclusion.
When a child holds their cookie higher and higher so a dog can't get it, they are naturally using this logical scientific process. We are just putting into words what your child is already doing.
