In sixth grade, Sally Krusing went outside with her classmates to watch a rocket blast off from Cape Canaveral. The rocket disappeared into space, but the memory endured.
As an adult, Sally heard the call to adventure, and time and time again she answered with an emphatic yes. From scuba diving in a plankton-filled Red Sea to fighting altitude sickness on Mt. Kilimanjaro to dealing with engine failure while flying over the White Mountains in Alaska, she overcame every challenge. Her successes taught her the importance of facing her fears -- and gave her the confidence she needed to sign up to become a future astronaut of Virgin Galactic.
