He includes letters, articles, history lessons, parables, questions, challenges--a wide spectrum of human experience from an Amish point of view. Fourteen chapters cover fascinating topics such as shunning, nonresistance, clothing, youth activities, old age, conflicts with the modern world, work, church, humor, and lessons from life.
Author Biography
Brad Igou was president and co-owner of Amish Country Experience in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and publisher of Amish Country News. Igou is past board chair of Discover Lancaster and recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award. He also created the Amish Visit-In-Person Tour, which gives visitors the opportunity to personally meet and talk with the Amish where they live and work.
