The book of Revelation was written for Christians! It is meant to be read and understood. For in its pages God's children are forewarned of the events that will surely come to pass in the last days. Sadly, many ignore it, deeming it impossible to understand. Why would God give His people this writing if it were not possible to comprehend? True, many of the events prophesied and described are obscure and can be difficult at first to figure out. Yet we are called to search out His Word as we would fine treasures. Author Julie Eltringham has crafted an insightful study that helps breakdown descriptions in the text in a way followers can understand. And Then I Saw... Is a verse-by-verse study that relies on God's Word. Encouraging readers to cross reference scripture with scripture. And to trust the Lord to give them ears to hear and eyes to see and understand the incredible and provocative messages in the book of Revelation. Revelation chapter one begins by telling us that Jesus Christ, made known to the apostle John the messages he received. He received the messages through a series of visions. These were given to him to show His servants what must soon take place. Rev 1:1 So how can we ignore this when the visions were given for our understanding? Revelation 1:3 -Blessed are those who read the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
