The mere hint of moonlight shone through the windows and I could see the look in his eyes, a look of lust and hate all at once. It was a look I was too young to understand then, but it was not one of fatherly love and admiration. As I looked into his eyes, a daughter's pleas went unheeded. This man was no longer my father.
