The Asthma Colouring and Workbook for parents and kids 3-5 years is a book designed to be used by parents and or caregivers teach young children about asthma at home, kindergarten and preschool or even at church health sessions. Through the aged appropriate activities such as colouring, connect the dots, matching of pictures to words and pet recognition children will learn which part of the body is affected by asthma, see how someone may look when experiencing an asthma attack, factors and pets that can trigger asthma attacks. The child will also learn about coughing as a sign of asthma and the two types of inhalers used to treat asthma. The little hands will enjoy the asthmaze activity as they help Joan find her inhaler; and will learn while colouring that children who have asthma can play sports as other children. The final page of the book is an asthma plan that can be used to educate the little ones on how to grade asthma and what to do in the different colour zones of living with asthma. As the children use the asthma colouring and workbook for kids, they will learn in their language about a medical condition that affects them.
