George Gawrych is Emeritus Professor of History at Baylor University, USA. He is the author of The Young Atat?k: From Ottoman Soldier to Statesman of Turkey (I.B.Tauris, 2013), winner of the Distinguished Book award from the Society of Military History and shortlisted for Longman-History Today prize.
