Emilie comes across as an ordinary girl; she worries about her looks, calories, and exercise. However, for her, food represents an everyday struggle, and it's becoming difficult to hide it from her parents. Samuel is a young man from Ghana that embarks on a perilous journey to reach Europe, find work, and send money to his family. Simon Stranger is a Norwegian author from Lilleaker, Oslo. He comes from a family of writers; he is the nephew of Hans Sande and the great-grandchild of Villa Thrap Whal. Simon is currently studying philosophy at the University of Oslo.
