Inorganic chemistry is the basis of materials science, environmental science, condensed matter physics, biological science, and earth sciences. The severe environmental issues we face pose significant challenges to our existence as a species, and inorganic chemistry has become a basic science to address these fundamental problems.
This book, translated from the original Japanese, provides a comprehensive insight into the origin of matter, the underlying quantum theory and thermodynamics and the global environment from the perspective of inorganic chemistry. It explores the relationship between inorganic chemistry and other related fields and covers the prospects and ethical aspects of inorganic chemistry considering the slogan "Leave No One Behind" of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This comprehensive guide is a roadmap for beginners and provides basic inorganic chemistry literacy for researchers in related fields, allowing them to think about a sustainable future.
