King David was NOT a perfect person. David was a schemer, an adulterer, and even had the husband of Bathsheba killed, so David could have Bathsheba for himself. So then we wonder, what made David a man after God's OWN Heart? Even in our sinful state, we can become people after God's own Heart, beginning with getting to know God's heart and by forming a heart connection with God.
