Author Biography
Author Indigo Ocean is the founder of the Phone Buddies emotional support and peer counseling community and former host of the top-rated talk radio show "Together in Spirit" - with guests including Byron Katie, A.H. Almaas, and James Twyman. In addition to a BA from Brown University, Indigo holds an MA from the CA Institute of Integral Studies in Integral Counseling Psychology, a holistic form of psychotherapy that addresses the spiritual and energetic aspects of psychological health. She is a Reiki Master and Johrei practitioner who has helped hundreds of people transform their lives through intensive 1-hour energy healing sessions. With a focus on service since her teen years, Indigo has served on the board of directors or advisers for several non-profits, worked as staff or as a volunteer with numerous other organizations, and currently helps a wide range of non-profits and businesses take advantage of resources that can help them achieve their missions most effectively. Indigo sees her writing as part of her service mission. In her writing she combines professional training with 25 years of spiritual study and practice and wisdom gained through helping herself and others face and transform challenging life experiences, to guide and support readers in their own journey of personal transformation and triumph.
