Beth Powers is a nurse practitioner with a deep love for children and Beaver Island, where she finds inspiration in its natural beauty and close-knit community. Her husband, Dr. Jeffrey Powers, is the island's veterinarian and the owner of Powers Hardware and the Beaver Island Gift Shop. Together, they created this book to share the magic of Beaver Island through the eyes of a first-time visitor. They hope readers, whether young or young at heart, will feel the wonder, peace, and joy that the island brings to all who step onto its shores.
