Author Biography
MARILYN CLAY is the author of over two dozen books, among them fourteen novels, three books for children and numerous non-fiction titles. A former University Editor for The University of Texas, Marilyn was a professional commercial artist in Dallas for many years. As a member of Romance Writers of America, Marilyn designed RWA's prestigious RITA award statuette and received the first RITA award when the golden statuette was unveiled. For sixteen years, Marilyn published THE REGENCY PLUME, an international newsletter focused on the Regency period in English history. Many of her earlier historical novels were set during the English Regency period and are now available as e-books. Following visits to Colonial Williamsburg and Philadelphia, she began writing about the American colonies. DECEPTIONS: A COLONIAL JAMESTOWN NOVEL and SECRETS AND LIES (released in paperback as A PETTICOAT AND LAMBSKIN GLOVES) are both set in Colonial Jamestown and were initially published in hardcover by Thompson/Gale.
