Throughout her life, Dr. Polite Tate survived major losses, heartbreaks, disappointments, the premature deaths of her mother, sister, nephew and other close loved ones, health issues, and divorce. She also survived various abusive relationships in her personal and professional life. In 2018, Dr. Polite Tate and her children survived a vicious attack from a trespasser to their home.
