Author Biography
Jeanine Mart?nez de Urrea actualmente sirve como Directora del Instituto Reforma y como diaconisa en la Iglesia Reforma en Guatemala, enviada por la Iglesia Bautista Internacional (IBI), de su natal Rep?blica Dominicana. Ejerci? por m?s de 10 a?os como Ingeniera Civil antes de servir a tiempo completo en misiones. Ha servido por m?s de 10 a?os como misionera trans-cultural, con enfoque en ense?anza b?blica, entrenamiento misionero y discipulado en el Sur y el Este de Asia, Australia y Latinoam?rica. Es apasionada por hacer disc?pulos de Cristo de todas las naciones, a trav?s del estudio y ense?anza de la Biblia, libro por libro. Tiene una Maestr?a en Estudios Teol?gicos del Seminario Bautista del Sur (SBTS), y otra Maestr?a en Ciencias en Ingenier?a Sanitaria y Ambiental (INTEC). Ama la iglesia local, la teolog?a b?blica y pr?ctica y las buenas conversaciones. Es candidata al DMin en SBTS. Le gusta cocinar, la m?sica y conocer personas de distintas culturas, apreciando la multiforme gracia de Dios. De vez en cuando, recuerda detenerse y oler las flores. Est? felizmente casada con Alex, despu?s de 41 a?os de solter?a. Es mam? de coraz?n de Flor y Mateo.
Jeanine Mart?nez de Urrea currently serves as Director of the Reforma Institute and deacon at Iglesia Reforma en Guatemala sent by International Baptist Church from her native Dominican Republic. She worked for more than 10 years as a Civil Engineer before serving full time on missions. She has served for more than 10 years as a cross-cultural missionary, with a focus on biblical teaching, missionary training and discipleship, in South and East Asia, Australia and Latin America. She is passionate about making disciples of Christ, of all nations, through the study and teaching of the Bible, book by book. She has a Master of Science in Theological Studies from the Southern Baptist Seminary (SBTS), and another Master of Science in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (INTEC). She loves the local church, biblical and practical theology, and good conversations. She is a D.Min. candidate at SBTS. She likes cooking, music, and meeting people from different cultures, appreciating the multiform grace of God. Every once in a while, she remembers to stop and smell the flowers. She is happily married to Alex after 41 years of being single. She is Flor and Matteo's mother at heart.
