Eight-year-old Max and his friends Lily and Theo are convinced there's a mysterious creature living in the forest near their small mountain town. Rumor has it that Bigfoot has been spotted near the old pine grove, especially during winter. The kids decide to sneak out on Christmas Eve to try and catch a glimpse of him. Armed with flashlights, backpacks, and plenty of holiday cookies, they set off into the snowy woods, hoping for an adventure.
After a few twists and turns, they finally come face-to-face with Bigfoot-a friendly, shy creature who's surprisingly not scary at all! To their surprise, Bigfoot reveals he has a problem: he's been working on a special Christmas surprise for the entire town, a beautiful display of twinkling lights made from fireflies, icicles, and handmade ornaments from forest treasures. But some of the supplies have gone missing, and he can't finish it on his own.
The kids, excited to help, join forces with Bigfoot and spend the night gathering decorations from around the forest. Along the way, they discover that Bigfoot isn't the only magical creature in the woods and learn valuable lessons about teamwork, kindness, and the joy of giving.
In the end, the kids and Bigfoot complete the display just in time for the townspeople to see it on Christmas morning. The glowing lights, combined with a light snowfall, create a magical sight that fills the town square with warmth and holiday spirit. Bigfoot disappears back into the forest with a wave, but not before leaving the kids a small gift and a promise to see them next Christmas.
