In Boss Up for a Check, "45 Red" drops readers straight into the raw, unfiltered streets of Houston-where loyalty is tested, money rules everything, and one wrong move can cost you your life. Fresh out of prison and already back in the game, Red isn't trying to survive-he's trying to take over. With a sharp mind, a fearless reputation, and a circle full of hustlers, strippers, and street legends, he quickly builds an empire fueled by fast money, dangerous deals, and even more dangerous relationships. But as the money stacks up, so do the enemies.
From high-speed chases and street politics to love, betrayal, power plays and crooked cops, Red finds himself caught between the life he knows and the consequences he can't escape. Because in a world where everybody's chasing a check... not everybody makes it out. Gripping, gritty, and unapologetically real, Boss Up for a Check is a story of hustle, survival, and the price of living fast in a ruthless game.
