He's a Pulitzer Prize finalist (Miami Herald), editor of two Pulitzer Prize-winning projects (Wall Street Journal), and the author of The Good Pirates of the Forgotten Bayous: Fighting to Save a Way of Life in the Wake of Hurricane Katrina and Gumbo Life: A Journey down the Roux Bayou, among others.
