HELEN M. TURNER has a PhD from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. She has taught in a variety of schools and universities in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Sweden. She is also an active researcher with particular interests in American and South African literature. She has published on Richard Yates, Tom Wolfe, and Archibald MacLeish.
