But let me holla at you about the chillest, realist, hittiness, no quitiness Brother to ever spit rhyme. And He was the greatest of all time! Today is the day to reread the story of Jesus Christ from a rather different outlook, an outlook so unique that it is sure to not only introduce a new perspective on the story to adults, but introduce this powerful story of our Lord and Savior to young adults. This is the story of Jesus told by Brother Moses in the "hip hop go go" language of today's youth. During a trip to the Rick Ball Players Showcase in Miami, Florida, Brother Moses discovered, to his dismay, that many of the high school students, though they debated about popular music and lyrics, did not talk about Jesus or even mention His name. He knew these were not the only teens who did not know His story, so after thinking back to what he listened to at their age, he decided to write out the story using words they could relate to. Brother Moses Tells the Story of Jesus introduces teen readers to a condensed retelling of how Jesus healed the people to His twelve disciples and their ultimate betrayal to His crucifixion to, finally, His resurrection. As an ordained minister, Brother Moses has preached this retelling over the years, and has received incredible reactions. He has found that the younger members in his audiences get very excited when they hear it, and even older members are appreciative of the language and are inspired by the story. Slang changes so quickly from generation to generation, yet the story of Jesus remains the same. A simple rephrasing of words, as Brother Moses has demonstrated, will ensure all generations know the story of their Lord and Savior.
