Author Biography
Grant V. Hilderbrand works for the National Park Service in the Alaska Region and has studied bears, wolves, and salmon since 1993. He is a member of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature North American Bear Expert Team, was chair of the 2016 International Conference on Bear Research and Management, and holds affiliate faculty appointments at several universities.
Kyle Joly is a wildlife biologist for the National Park Service, working in Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve, Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve, and other northern Alaska parks. He started working for the National Park Service in Alaska in 1994. David D. Gustine has worked as a biologist in various capacities for the US Geological Survey in Alaska and the National Park Service in Grand Teton National Park, led the Polar Bear Program for the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and currently works for the Biological Resource Division of the NPS. Nina Chambers is a science communicator for the National Park Service Inventory & Monitoring Division and networks in Alaska. She supports natural resource scientists in public communication.
