This book is a practical survival guide for leaders and development practitioners who need to strengthen their organization's resilience and secure its long-term financial sustainability. In the current context of significant reductions in all forms of funding, it provides a step-by-step process to help you assess your organization, rethink your programmes, and realign your work with the needs of partners and communities, so you can stay true to your mission while adapting to change. Written primarily for the not-for-profit sector - including civil society organizations (CSOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), faith-based organizations and social enterprises - the insights and tools shared here are equally valuable for funding organizations working with partners, such as international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), foundations and government agencies. The text and practical activities can be used with learners in academic institutions and training organizations. Recognising that every organization and its context is unique, the book will empower and support your organization to create a tailored resilience plan - one that fits your reality and positions your organization to thrive, no matter what challenges arise.
