When children and young people are resilient, they become more confident, curious, and adaptable to the world around them. This book provides easy-to-understand, evidence-based strategies to develop children and young people's resilience so they can thrive.
The practical activities and strategies are divided into sections focusing on different aspects of resilience, including emotional awareness, coping with stress, goal setting and problem solving. All activities contain discussion prompts and options for extension and adaption, and can be used in individual, group, and whole-class work. These powerful, cost-effective resources provide an excellent means of developing a structured, whole-setting approach to help children and young people develop the inner toolkit they need to navigate change, manage pressure and recover when things go wrong.
Drawing on research, practice and lived experience, this book is a key resource for teaching staff and educational professionals working with and supporting children and young people.
