Winter is here, and Somerton, Wisconsin, is on the precipice of disaster. Emmett Coady, local bricklayer and volunteer monster hunter, knows that all too well. When his best friend, Nyla Jameson, called him over the summer with a massive paranormal problem, Emmett was all too eager to offer his aid. Now, they need a permanent solution to the threat plaguing the Basin and its nearby residents. Emmett wasn't worried, at first. Tired? Sure. Stressed? Definitely. Worried? Not so much.
Then, Callie entered the picture, throwing Emmett into an emotional tailspin that had him acting like a gym bro on steroids. In other words, an asshole. He wanted- no, he needed to keep Callie safe, but the woman was making it harder than he ever thought possible.
