Touching upon their individual family dynamics, drug usage and its consequences, the judicial system, early US history, and even adding God into the mix, this work covers a gamut of themes and concerns. Although at times it can be challenging to read, it does have the potential to elicit further discussion and, more importantly, bring about self-examination and an awareness that is more in tune with our surrounding communities and cultures.
