This heartwarming story follows Charlie, a tiny dog with silky fur and sparkling brown eyes. Charlie has a sweet heart and means well, but he still gets into trouble. In humorous moments of mischief, his owner, Ellie, reminds Charlie that she loves him unconditionally, even if he gets messy and makes mistakes.
Through this story, kids ages 5-8 learn that love is patient, kind, does not dishonor others, rejoices with the truth, and always perseveres. These morals draw parallels to the way God cares for us and how we are called to love others.
"I was first inspired by the big, thoughtful questions my daughter asked when we started reading the Bible together," says the author, Candice Hucik. "I created engaging characters and fun situations to help explain the meaning behind scripture."
