From the picture book series that Midwest Book Review praised as "original, entertaining, and thoroughly 'kid friendly' ... a simply outstanding picture book series for children ages 3-7, unreservedly recommended..." comes this fourth installment in The Adventures of Chomp the Chimp:
The jungle is buzzing! All the animals are talking, everyone is asking, "who is this strange new being?"
A quiet newcomer has arrived at the edge of the forest. While the rest of the animals are bursting with questions, Chomp silently observes. Curious but unhurried, he gently approaches the strange newcomer and offers a warm greeting, learning along the way that some friends just need a little extra time and space to find their courage.
Rooted in principles of early childhood psychology, told in gentle rhyme, and paired with soft, traditional illustrations, Chomp the Chimp Meets Someone New demonstrates how empathy, active listening, and simply being present can turn a shy stranger into a wonderful new friend.
The series is intended for children ages 3-7 and is ideal for family shared reading, bedtime, and classroom social-emotional learning.
