If you surveyed people as to the most well-known passages in the Bible, you would probably get answers like John 3:16 for evangelism, 1 Corinthians 13 for weddings, Psalm 23 for funerals, or the Lord's Prayer when facing death. The problem with well-known passages is that we know them so well we tend to either read them without thinking about them or listen without really listening. This is true for Psalm 23.
If we had never heard the Psalm before but knew the gospel in all its splendor, we would look at this short passage and marvel. We would marvel because it touches on themes dealing with salvation, adoption, justification, sanctification, life, death, resurrection, and eternity. All in six little verses.
Come explore the splendor of this passage. As you come face to face with Jesus in this Psalm, you will forever be changed.
