In contrast to a pre-tribulation rapture--the belief that Christians will be taken up to the clouds to be with Jesus prior to a seven-year period of tribulation and judgment for those left behind--Christians, Unpack Your Bags! argues that believers will not be removed from the world prior to the end of the age. Using the parable of the weeds in Matthew 13 as its basis, and then examining hundreds of other verses, it maintains that the end-time prophecies in the Bible were meant to be warnings to Christians that they will not escape the troubles and trials that lie ahead. By noting the recurring imagery in end-times prophecies, it concludes that Christians will witness or experience nearly every event typically associated with the end times. It also concludes that there are at least three separate accounts of the return of Jesus in the book of Revelation.
Author Biography
Dick Lentz is a graduate of Simpson Bible College, has taught adult Bible studies for over fifty years, and has generated hundreds of adult Bible study lessons for David C. Cook and other Christian publishers. In 2000, Lentz wrote the music and script for It's Not Too Late, a Christian musical-drama written in response to the tragic shootings at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado.
