The Cinco de Mayo Open House at Kats Jory Hills Estate Winery is the preview to the colossal Memorial Day Weekend celebration in Oregon wine country. Having just opened her new B&B, Kate Ferguson, who wears a second hat as director of Cats Pause Feline Shelter, excitedly anticipated the event. That is, until the death of horse trainer and friend, Donald Jenkins cast a pall over the upcoming holiday. When friend (and more) Officer Charles Beltz is assigned to the case, Kate and Commissioner George King vow to help him flush out the culprit. Meanwhile, Mo and her feline friends lead the humans in the town of Seven Oaks in hot pursuit of the killer.
Author Biography
Maureen Murphy Williams' cat detective series, Mo the Shelter Cat Mysteries, was inspired by the adoption of Morgan, who spent three years in local shelters awaiting her furr-ever home. Maureen's passion for animal welfare and her love of Oregon wine country are paired to bring a new flavor to the cat mystery genre. Maureen resides in Portland with Morgan and three other rescued cats, Mona, Mac and Murphy, portrayed in Seven Oaks as the domesticated feral family of Commissioner George King.
