The future of construction isn't coming; it's already here.
From autonomous excavators to AI-driven project management, artificial intelligence is reshaping how we build the physical world. Cranes, concrete, and code are merging to create a new operating system for civilization-one where buildings, bridges, homes, and cities are designed, optimized, and even constructed by intelligent systems.
Code and Concrete takes you inside this seismic transformation. With clear insights and real-world examples, it reveals how AI is already revolutionizing design, labor, risk management, and infrastructure worldwide while also exposing the challenges of displaced workers, opaque algorithms, and unchecked corporate control over public space.
With this book, prepare yourself to understand why construction is "broken" and how AI in the form of Constructed Intelligence is leading the way to generative design breakthroughs. It will also take you through many ways robotics is used on the jobsite and how predictive AI and risk prevention are catching overruns, failures, and disputes before they happen.
This is not a book about science fiction. It's a guide to the very real, rapidly accelerating world of predictive construction, robotic labor, digital twins, blockchain contracts, and intelligent cities.
Whether you're a builder, architect, engineer, investor, policymaker-or simply someone curious about the future of our built world-Code and Concrete will change how you see every road, bridge, and skyline around you.
