Author Biography
Alejandro Raymundo Perez was born in 1936 in Cuba. He graduated from Electrical Engineering at the University of Havana in 1960. He relocated to the United States and established residence in the Washington DC area. He founded his own engineering firm in 1971 which he owned and managed until his retirement. Among hundreds of other projects, Mr. Perez's firm was charged with the design of electrical systems for three passenger stations and related tracks for the Washington area Rapid Transit System. Mr. Perez is a member of the Society for the History of Discoveries and has published two other books on the subject of Columbus, which are out of print. He currently lives in Falls Church, Virginia, and is married with two daughters and five grandchildren.
