Anthony Bourdain (Nueva York, 1956 - Kaysersberg-Vignoble, 2018) fue un chef, escritor y presentador estadounidense, famoso por su estilo directo y su amor por la cocina auténtica. Comenzó su carrera en varios restaurantes de Nueva York, destacando especialmente su paso como jefe de cocina en Brasserie Les Halles. Alcanzó fama internacional en 2000 con Confesiones de un chef, su libro más emblemático. También publicó, entre otros títulos, Viajes de un chef, La cocina de Les Halles, Malos tragos, En crudo, Appetites o Comer, viajar, descubrir, donde profundiza en el mundo gastronómico y las historias reales con su característico tono, combinando humor, honestidad y crítica social. Fue una figura influyente en la televisión con programas como No Reservations y Parts Unknown.
