Countdown to Christmas is a 25-day devotional journey from the creation account in Genesis 1 to the birth of Jesus. Each day we take a Biblical account and make the Christmas Connection. Through the journey we see that God's whole story is moving towards the arrival of Jesus.

For centuries, Christians have celebrated the weeks leading up to Christmas as a time of expectation and waiting. Advent simply means arrival. It is a season of expectation for the arrival of the birth of Christ, a countdown to Christmas that focuses on Jesus. So, we started a new tradition. Each day leading up to Christmas, our family sits down and reads a small devotional that tells the story of the coming birth of Jesus. The Countdown to Christmas book contains the readings we developed as we put this new tradition into practice. We invite you to take the journey with us this Christmas, whether you are taking it alone, with your family, or with some friends. Author Biography
Ryan Nunez is the lead pastor at Palm Valley Church in Phoenix. He earned a PhD in materials science at Arizona State but, like his father and grandfather, always felt the call to full-time ministry. That call and passion for reaching people far from God led Ryan and his wife, Adrienne, to join three other couples in starting Palm Valley Church. Overt the last twenty years Palm Valley Church has grown to become one of the largest churches in the Phoenix metro area.
