Throughout our years of working to empower people, especially teenagers and young people, we have seen, time and time again, that the term anxiety gets thrown around like it's a disease that someone has and cannot ever get rid of. This just isn't the case. Anxiety is a normal, natural response that every human being experiences at particular times in their lives.
It's also important to note that anxiety is an emotion of the future. We can either worry about an unknown "something" happening or focus on a past event that we think will occur again. Basically we fixate on a worst case scenario. This can then stop us from being happy and content in the here and now.
Myriam and Allen created "Damn You Anxiety" to empower people to remove the blockages which hold them back and give them a sense of control over the decisions and life that they want to live.
